Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and be proficient in various tools and software applications.· College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years with 2-3 years of experience (or equivalent experience) required
Responsibilities
- Apply mechanical knowledge to build and maintain equipment
- Conduct data collection and analysis to support projects
- Assist in research activities related to the field
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals
· Assist in environmental audits
· Conduct geological, geophysical, geochemical, hydrographic or oceanographic surveys, prospecting field trips, exploratory drilling, well logging or underground mine survey programs
· Conduct or direct surveys or survey programs
· Perform clerical duties, such as maintain filing and record systems
· Perform physical and chemical laboratory tests
· Supervise oil and gas well drilling, well completions and work-overs
· Prepare notes, sketches, geological maps and cross sections
· Assist in hydrogeological field and laboratory studies
Skills
- Certification by a provincial or territorial association
- Strong data analysis skills
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and building tasks
- Ability to collect and analyze data effectively
